Health Eligibility Center (HEC)

Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Health Eligibility Center (HEC) serves as the national eligibility center for VHA. HEC verifies veteran eligibility information, enrolls veterans into VHA's health care system and performs income verification to assure the integrity of VHA's financial eligibility determination process. In support of the national VHA enrollment database HEC staff also performs numerous data quality and data validation activities.
