The following VA FLITE Program updates/changes have occurred since the previous update of June 19, 2008:

  • Program Management Office Support (PMOS) Contracting Officer is Ms. Melissa Fauber.  Ms. Fauber can be reached at melissa.fauber@va.gov.
  • Data Warehouse – Anticipated solicitation release and award Fiscal Year (FY) 2010.
  • Data Warehouse – anticipated feeder systems other than IFAS and SAM is TBD.
  • Data Warehouse – acquisition strategy is TBD.

As of June 19, 2008


The following VA FLITE Program updates/changes have occurred since Industry Day (February 12, 2008):

  • Data Warehousing has been added as a major effort under FLITE Business Opportunities in addition to IFAS and SAM projects.  Acquisition strategy TBD.  Projected solicitation release and award date TBD.
  • The Program Management Office (PMO) support effort and the Organizational Change Management (OCM) effort have been combined into one acquisition at the Program level and will provide program, project and site level services working in coordination with IFAS and SAM implementation contractors.
  • The IFAS key dates have changed:
    • Projected RFP Release - Quarter 1 FY 2009
    • Projected Award – Quarter 4 FY 2009
  • SAM Pilot Implementation will be solicited under the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Chief Information Officer - Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations (CIO-SP2i) GWAC.
  • The number of Beta sites for SAM is now TBD.
  • SAM key dates have changed:
    • Projected RFP Release for Pilot Implementation – early Quarter 4 FY 2008
    • Projected Award – Quarter 1 FY 2009
  • SAM hardware key dates have changed:
    • RFQ released June 6, 2008 via NASA SEWP
    • Projected Award – August 2008
  • Program Management Office Support (PMOS)(the combined PMO and OCM efforts) dates have changed:
    • Projected RFP Release – Quarter 4 FY 2008
    • Projected Award – Quarter 1 FY 2009
  • IV&V acquisition key dates are TBD.
