Homeless Veterans

GPD Provider Continuing Education Series

VA continues to look for opportunities to provide enhanced training and education to our Grant and Per Diem (GPD) providers. To that end, VA has created an educational training series for case management and clinical staff providing direct service to Veterans in GPD programs.

The goal is to enhance outcomes for homeless Veterans by increasing staff awareness through a variety of trainings regarding the array of complex issues associated with working with homeless Veterans.

The format will be a 60 minute presentation followed by a 20 minute question and answer period. Presenters will be national experts within the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The next presentation will be on Motivational Interviewing on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm Eastern Time.  The dial in number and access code will be sent to all current GPD Providers via broadcast fax.  PowerPoint presentations will be available two weeks prior to the training.
