Medication Refills

Frequently Asked Questions on Refilling Your Medications.

Q.  When should I order my refills?

A.  You should place your order for refills as soon as you receive your supply of medication.  Do not wait until you are almost out of medicine to reorder.

Q.  Are my refills shipped to me automatically?

A.  No.  All refills must be requested by the patient or their provider.

Q.  How do I order my refills?

A. You can drop your refill slips off at our pharmacy in Lebanon. Or you can mail your refill slip using the mailing label you should have been provided. If you don't have a mailing label, mail your refill slip to:

VAMC Pharmacy (719)
1700 S Lincoln Ave
Lebanon PA 17042

Or you can call our refill number 1-800-409-8771 or 717-272-6621, Press 1, and follow the automated instructions provided on the phone.

Q.  Can I refill my medicines using the Internet?

A.  Yes! VA's MyHealtheVet website allows you do that and much much more. Register at https://www.myhealth.va.gov/

Q.  Why do the labels on my prescriptions look different?

A.  The Lebanon VA pharmacy utilizes the VA Consolidated Mail Order Pharmacy near Chicago, Illinois to fill many of our prescriptions.  They have a different type of printer for making labels than we do at Lebanon.

Q.  Why am I told I can't get a refill when there are refills left on my prescription label?

A.  Most prescriptions are only valid for a one year period (some are valid for less than one year).  All refills expire when the prescription expires.  You will need a new prescription from your provider when this happens.

Q.  What if I have a problem with the medicine I receive in the mail?

A.  If you ever have any problems or questions with any of your medicines, please call the pharmacy and we will do our best to help you.  We can be reached at:
