MS Disease Modifying Therapies - Effectiveness and Side Effects

The panel discusses DMT and their effectiveness. "First line" therapies, such as interferons and Glatiramer acetate work well for most people. For other people, "second line" therapies, such as Natalizumab and Mitoxantrone work well but have greater risks. These medications reduce relapse rate by about 30%. They also delay conversion from a clinically isolated syndrome to MS. (7 minutes)
