Emotional disorders associated with MS and cognitive dysfunction

People who have MS experience changes in their emotions. However, it is not clear how these emotional changes are actually influenced by the biological changes of MS. MS affects people in their middle years. They're just starting their jobs and their families, so it's not surprising that people experience depression. Most studies not all but most studies show that the degree of depression that people experience does not appear to be correlated with lesions or atrophy.
