NCOD Model of Intervention
NCOD is contacted by VA leadership to provide onsite, consultative services to various organizational units. Often, this contact is in direct response to AES outcomes.
NCOD conducts intensive workplace interventions at all levels of the organization. Interventional efforts are typically based upon All Employee Survey data and additional assessment methods. NCOD works with each client to collect timely, relevant data that can be used to inform improvement action plans and intervention strategies.
NCOD makes extensive use of quantitative and qualitative assessment data in its interventions with individuals and work units. Evaluations are customized for specific workgroups. The emphasis on measurement assures that interventions are grounded in employee perceptions and ideas, providing a way for NCOD to assess the impact of its work. NCOD’s data-driven approach has established its credibility with its VA clients and stakeholders. In some cases, NCOD has worked with these organizations for over one year. In other cases, the intervention has lasted over a period of a few months. In each case, NCOD worked with the site to facilitate the development and the implementation of an action plan to address areas of concern that arise from the data.
NCOD also works with various organizations to provide services that are less ongoing and intensive in nature. These services include the design and implementation of strategic planning processes, executive team assessment and team building, and leadership assessment and development.
