The VA Denver Acquisition & Logistics Center (DALC) manages holistic supply chain management for the VA National Hearing Aid and Telehealth Programs and supports VA and other Government agencies with professional acquisition and logistical services. Commodities managed include worldwide distribution of hearing aids, hearing aid accessories, cochlear implants, assistive devices, batteries, prosthetic socks, orthotic soft goods, aids for the visually impaired, and telehealth messaging hubs and peripherals. Veterans may order many items directly from the DALC and have them shipped to their homes, reducing unnecessary trips to medical facilities and enhancing efficiency of clinical staff.
The DALC manages the VA’s only hearing aid repair program by providing eligibility verification, problem diagnosis, hearing aid programming retrieval, cleaning, repairs, vendor management, and quality control. The DALC supports business development and marketing of products and services for the Office of Acquisition and Logistics by identifying new business opportunities and providing training to vendors wanting to do business with the VA.
