The Executive Director/Deputy Chief Acquisition Officer, Office of Acquisition Operations, oversees operations of a Central Office staff and Office of Acquisition Operations field activities.  The Office of Acquisition Operations provides comprehensive, strategic acquisition support for VA’s highly complex requirements, including strategic Information Technology and medical systems.

The Executive Director/Deputy Chief Acquisition Officer, Office of Acquisition Operations, also recommends policies, plans, and strategies for VA-wide application on contract administration, acquisition planning, procurement, and contract administration in connection with acquiring supplies, equipment and services required for the provision of benefits and medical care to the nation’s Veterans.  The Office of Acquisition Operations’ primary focus is to provide customers value-added acquisition business solutions.
