As you know, the Vet Law 2013 Forum was scheduled to take place in Washington DC on October 30th. Due to the lapse in FY 2014 funding, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) must postpone this event.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you will attend the forum when it is rescheduled.
Once VA’s funding is restored, we will reschedule the forum and notify you well in advance. We look forward to your participation.
I thank you for your support to our nation’s Veterans and their families.
Will A. Gunn
We are pleased to announce Vet Law 2013 – a no-cost forum for law students and lawyers serving Veterans. At Vet Law 2013, you will learn best practices from law school clinical faculty, VA officials, and appellate judges. Topics will include an introduction to VA benefits and the claims process, the advantages of Veterans filing “Fully Developed Claims”, and how to effectively appeal a VA decision. In addition, you will learn how unmet civil and criminal legal needs contribute to homelessness among our Veterans, and ways to address these needs. Vet Law 2013 is also a great opportunity to meet and network with other advocates who are providing Veterans with legal services through law school clinics or other organizations. Register for the event now by completing and emailing the form below to email@example.com.
