With more than 1 million active-duty personnel scheduled to join the ranks of America’s 22 million Veterans during the next five years, the President has proposed a $140.3 billion budget for the Department of Veterans Affairs for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1.
Performance and Accountability Report (PAR)
The PAR provides results on VA’s progress towards providing America’s Veterans with the best in benefits and health care. The PAR contains performance targets and results achieved and is VA’s report card that communicates how well VA has done.

Welcome! The Office of Management has two distinct missions. Our first mission is to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA); Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA); National Cemetery Administration (NCA); Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA); and staff offices as VA provides benefits and services to our Nation’s veterans. We do this by providing strategic and operational leadership for budget, financial management, and asset enterprise management. Our second mission is to promote public confidence through stewardship and oversight of VA business activities, ensuring their consistency with national policy, law, and regulation. The Office of Management supports the Administrations and staff offices through eight major service lines and has a number of activities and initiatives underway to help improve the Department’s operations.
