Program Evaluation Studies

Program evaluation is a systematic method for collecting, analyzing, and using information to answer basic questions about projects, policies and programs.

 

VA performs program evaluations about the services it provides, the impact on patients/program participants, how VA compares to the private sector, the gaps and differences in services, patient/participant outcomes and costs.   Study findings and recommendations are used to refine and improve VA services by suggesting policy and operating changes.
