August 20, 2012
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has launched a new way to notify Veteran and Small Businesses of news and information related to VA Acquisition programs. By signing up for the OSDBU RSS Feed, you will receive news flashes regarding additions and changes to Small Business policy and procedures, services related to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business/Veteran-Owned Small Business Verification, and more! We encourage you to take a minute to subscribe for this new service.
What is RSS? RSS (Really Simply Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated web pages in a standardized format.
How can the RSS feed help me with Verification? By subscribing to the OSDBU RSS feed, you can receive up to the minute updates on Verification announcements, changes to the process, and many other valuable notifications coming directly from VA.
How difficult is it to subscribe? RSS feeds are a simple an easy way for you to keep up with news and information that is important to you, and helps you to avoid the conventional methods of browsing or searching for information on individual web sites. Please note: Some browsers, such as the current versions of Firefox and Safari have built in RSS readers. If you’re using a browser that doesn’t currently support RSS, there are a variety of RSS readers available on the web; some are free to download and others are available for purchase. Additionally, some email software (e.g., Microsoft Outlook) also has built-in support for RSS feeds.
