Carol Jenkins joined the VA in August 2011 as a Supervisory Contract Specialist and Director of the Acquisition Business Service office.  Ms. Jenkins has over 22 years of acquisition experience.  She began her career as a Construction Contract Specialist with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).  She transferred within the agency to the BOP's Health Services Division into the position of a Medical Contracting Coordinator.  In 2004, Ms. Jenkins began seven year tenure at the Department of Labor (Labor).  She held various positions, including Director of the Office of Inspector General’s procurement office and Director of Labor’s Procurement Policy Office.  Ms. Jenkins holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.  She is currently completing a Masters Program at Catholic University of America.  She is a wife of 32 years and proud mother of a son and daughter, both who have served in the armed forces.
