The Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) located in Fredericksburg, Virginia and Frederick, Maryland, provides dedicated acquisition and program management expertise and support for life cycle management of non-IT enterprise-wide solutions for VA’s highly complex requirements and strategically sound contracts. The SAC achieves efficiencies and savings through enabling best practices and leveraging acquisition resources and expertise. Department of Veterans Affairs organizations supported strive to be the leaders among health organizations in providing secure, high-quality and responsive service by leveraging state-of-the-art technologies.
The SAC has a Program Advisory Service (PAS) team which performs post award support to Program Offices. The PAS ensures awarded procurement actions meet and exceed performance measures in accordance with the Agency’s acquisition program goals and objectives, and contract requirements. The SAC also has a Rapid Response Service Team (ARRS) that is responsible for providing advice and assistance to VA’s program offices in development of pre-acquisition market analyses, market forecasts, products sources, government cost estimates, and applicable requirements documents and justifications.
