The Reference Information section lists the references associated with the technology/standard.

Column Name Description
Type The type of reference. This may be one of the following:
  • Best Practice - an industry best practice (Compliance is suggested)
  • Guideline - a VA guideline (Compliance is recommended)
  • Policy - a VA policy that pertains to the entry (Compliance is mandatory)
  • Requirement - a VA requirement associated with the entry
  • Vendor Provided - a resource provided by the vendor that will be subject to the accuracy of the manufacturer
  • Other
Name The name of the reference
Description A brief description of the reference
Source The source of the reference. (e.g. VA Directive or VA Handbook)
URL A hyperlink to the source document
Private to VA A checkbox indicating if the reference is private to the VA. If this is checked the hyperlink will not be displayed on the internet website.
