Notes:	Adobe CS4 and CS5 are application suites that come with several software applications including Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Bridge, Fireworks, Flash Builder (formerly Flex), Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Cold Fusion. Each application covers specific functions, for example Photoshop is for photo and image editing; InDesign for page layout and publishing; and Dreamweaver for website development. These applications have become incumbent in the business environment and are seen in small and large businesses that seek to present a professional image to their clients. Adobe products are already in use within the Department of Veteran Affairs for publishing Memos, Handbooks, Guidelines, and other official materials. The general concern for these applications are PHI (Personal Health Information) & PII (Personally Identifiable Information) being inadvertently exposed (released) to the web (published). While every application is susceptible to a known or Zero-Day exploit (a previously unknown vulnerability), a properly installed and maintained security posture will assist in defending an enterprise network from attacks. The use of these applications should be restricted to those who have an official need to publish information on behalf of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
