This OEM program area creates processes that engage VHA Comprehensive Emergency Management Program (CEMP) stakeholders/customers in a continuous process of establishing CEMP direction and strategy, policy, and developing, implementing, evaluating and improving quality management systems that support CEMP at the VAMC, VISN and VHA levels.
The three components of this program area include:
Strategic planning is an on-going process that establishes and updates the framework that the organization uses to guide its activities into the future, usually a 3 to 5 year period.
Policy coordination ensures the development and maintenance of clear guidance for those who carry out the VHA CEMP.
A quality management system is a tool organizations use to continuously improve its internal processes to deliver consistently high quality products and services to its customers.
