Field Offices and Staff
VHA OEM field offices are distributed around the country to better serve and support VHA facilities and networks and to improve planning and coordination with local, state and Federal disaster response partners.
Each regional office is managed by a Regional Emergency Manager and staffed with Area Emergency Managers who provide direct support to facility and network emergency programs, and also develop and maintain local National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) programs. Liaison Area Emergency Managers are assigned to each VISN to provide a single point of contact and to support and coordinate these efforts at the network level.
