The VA Building Utilization Review and Repurposing (BURR) initiative has identified three parcels of vacant land for a long-term ground lease at the Dayton Campus of the VA Healthcare System of Ohio Network (VISN 10) in Dayton, Ohio. VA is soliciting qualified developers to submit proposals to finance, design, develop, construct, equip, furnish and maintain a new permanent supportive housing project for homeless Veterans and Veterans at risk of homelessness and their families, on a priority basis.
The potential EUL site contains the following parcels of underutilized land:
- Three land parcels: 5 acre, 10 acre, and 14 acre parcels.

The Dayton VA Medical Center provides a full range of health care through medical, surgical, mental health, geriatric, physical & therapy services, neurology, oncology, dentistry, and hospice. The Medical Center has 500 hospital beds consisting of acute care, nursing home and domiciliary beds. We have a proud heritage of providing high quality health care to those who have served our country since 1867. We are one of the three oldest VA facilities, providing continuous service to Veterans for over 140 years.

- In an ongoing effort to eliminate homelessness among Veterans and their families, VA is proceeding with an agreement with a third-party provider to provide 310 permanent and transitional units of housing.
- The Request for Proposals closed November 1, 2011.
