Health Services Research Fellowships

CHQOER offers post-doctoral training fellowships in health services research, sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs. 

Our goal is to develop well qualified, independent investigators with the skills necessary to conduct high quality, funded research on complex problems relating to the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of health care.

 

We provide: 

  • a supportive, multidisciplinary professional environment

  • opportunities to participate in a wide range of research projects in the areas of health quality, health outcomes, health economics, patient safety, and pharmaco outcomes and epidemiology

  • assistance in the realization of professional interests and research goals of individual fellows.

 Opportunities and Resources 

  • Fellows participate in ongoing projects of the CHQOER, as well as independent projects and applications for research funding.

  • Tenure is two years.

  • Stipend is $40,000 in the first year, and $43,000 in the second year, plus health and life insurance.

  • Additional support is provided for research expenses and travel to professional meetings.
