New Medical Center Director Named
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced the appointment of Jennifer Harkins as the new medical center director of the Coatesville VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
Harkins has been detailed as the interim director of the Coatesville VAMC since Jan. 31. Prior to that role, she served as the associate director there. She has served in many leadership roles throughout our region, called Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 4, and VA.
“We are very excited to welcome Ms. Harkins to this role permanently,” said Timothy W. Liezert, VISN 4 director. “I am grateful for her experience and consistent leadership at our Coatesville VA Medical Center.”
Coatesville VAMC’s previous director, Mr. Jeffrey Beiler, transferred to another VISN 4 facility earlier this year.
More than 1,000 employees serve nearly 18,000 veterans every year at the medical center in Coatesville and two outpatient clinics in Delaware County and West Norriton.
