OUR MISSION:

The major function of Research Service is to provide an optimal environment for the performance of highly meritorious basic and clinical research directed toward improving the health of veterans. Medical research has been an integral component of the VA mission for more than 50 years and contributes in many ways to the overall high quality of medical care that the VA provides. Research opportunities at the VA also serve as a very important factor in the recruitment and retention of highly qualified clinicians who provide that care for our patients.
