The Little Rock VA Regional Office offers services to Veterans in the State of Arkansas and the city of Texarkana in Bowie County, Texas.  Based on 2012 information from the National Center for Veterans Analyses and Statistics, the Veteran population of Arkansas is 252,279 and Bowie County, Texas, has a Veteran population of 9,091.  With a staff of 178 employees, the Regional Office determines entitlement to disability compensation, vocational rehabilitation and counseling, and various ancillary benefits such as clothing allowance, automobile grants, and specially adapted housing.  The compensation payments authorized by the Regional Office total $57,037,831 each month.

Entitlement to home loan guaranty and approval of home loan applications for residents of Arkansas are currently determined by the Regional Loan Center, Houston, Texas.  Requests for Certificates of Eligibility are worked out of the Atlanta Eligibility Center.

VA Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) offers programs to assist Veterans with service-connected disabilities in preparing for, finding, and keeping suitable jobs.  For Veterans with service-connected disabilities so severe that they cannot immediately consider work, this program offers services to improve their ability to live as independently as possible.
VA VetSuccess on Campus (VSOC) is a new program designed to help Veterans on campus access the tools they need to be successful in their academic environment. To accomplish this goal in Northwest Arkansas, an experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor has been assigned to University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and NW AR Community College.
