Co-located with the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System, the Sioux Falls Regional Office provides compensation and pension services to Veterans. Additionally, a Veteran Service Representative is stationed at the Ft. Meade campus of the VA Black Hills Health Care System and is responsible for field examination activities and providing benefit counseling to Veterans and their families in the western part of the state.

Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Services are also provided at the Sioux Falls Regional Office. Four Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors and one Employment Coordinator are out-based in Rapid City and provide vocational rehabilitation services. Vocational Rehabilitation is jointly managed for South and North Dakota from Fargo, ND.

Two Decision Review Officers at the Sioux Falls Regional Office conduct personal hearings for South Dakota claimants.

VA Health Care System- The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System is a teaching hospital providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-art technology as well as education and research. Care is provided to eligible Veterans in eastern South Dakota, northwestern Iowa and southwestern Minnesota.
