The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center provides care to over 105,000 Veterans each year in northern Ohio, through the Wade Park Medical Center, thirteen community based outpatient clinics, three Vet Centers, two Comprehensive Resource Referral Centers (CRRC) , a Psychosocial Resource Rehabilitation Center (PRRC), a Chronic Dialysis Center and an Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Access points for care include inpatient/outpatient care in Cleveland (Wade Park, CRRC, PRRC, Dialysis Center and Ambulatory Surgery Center); outpatient care in Akron, Canton, East Liverpool/Calcutta Lorain, Mansfield, Cleveland (McCafferty), New Philadelphia, Painesville, Ravenna, Sandusky, Warren, Youngstown and Parma; and three Vet Centers in the Cleveland metropolitan area.
The Wade Park Medical Center has been recognized for more programs of excellence than any other VAMC: Open Heart Surgery, Care of the Seriously Mentally Ill, Geriatric Evaluation and Management, Substance Abuse Care, Spinal Cord Injury Care, Medical Care of the Homeless, Domiciliary Care of the Homeless, Functional Electrical Stimulation, Advance Platform Technology, Primary Care Education and Patient-Centered Specialty Care Education.
The medical center hosts the offices of the VA Regional Counsel, the National Office of Information Service Center, the Office of Resolution Management, and the Chief, Podiatry Services for the VA.
