The Indianapolis VA Regional Office is located in the Minton-Capehart Federal Building in downtown Indianapolis and employs approximately 430 people. The staff administers federal compensation and vocational rehabilitation and employment benefits to an estimate 499,000 Veterans in the state of Indiana. The RO is also the home of the Indianapolis Fiduciary Hub, which is responsible for providing fiduciary services to an estimated 41,500 Veterans and their families in 14 northeastern United States, as well as various foreign locations throughout Canada, Asia, Europe and Australia.

The following organizations are co-located in the Minton-Capehart Federal Building: the Office of Regional Counsel; the National Cemetery Administration (NCA) Memorial Services Network IV Office; the NCA Human Resources Center; and seven (7) Veterans Service Organizations:  American Legion, American Veterans, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Vietnam Veterans of America
