Pamela McKinney
EEO Program Manager
VA Medical Center
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Ms. McKinney has been a great facilitator of dispute resolution and is a key ingredient in the successful alternate dispute resolution/mediation process currently in place at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. She is often sought out by other EEO Managers at medical centers throughout VA for her expertise in resolving controversial issues.

Instrumental in resolving both EEO and non EEO complaints, Ms. McKinney serves as a mentor and a role model to students and employees. She worked with committees for minorities, women, and people with disabilities in the creation scholarship programs to assist outstanding students with their college educations.

Ms. McKinney's work with the Federal Executive Board in Alternative Dispute Resolution/Mediation has not only assisted the medical center, but has also been highly effective in regards to community efforts. The Mediation Program, as well as Ms. McKinney, received a "Hammer Award" from Vice President Gore for their efforts in "re-inventing government."

Ms. McKinney created "Director's Hotlines" to keep employees updated on important EEO and sexual harassment matters and created and maintains a section in the all-employee weekly bulletin, entitled "EEO in Your Corner," which endorses the Director's commitment to EEO, and updates staff on the multifaceted aspects of EEO.
