Internships

DM&EEO advocates the use of nontraditional student internship programs and has agreements with the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES); Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through the National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education (NAFEO); Washington Internships for Native Students (WINS); the Washington Center (TWC); and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), where VA ranks consistently among the top Federal partners. The Department also participates in the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) for College Students With Disabilities, though it is not technically an internship program.
