Stephen Hopkins

Stephen Hopkins serves as the Chief, Operations Support Service, Office of Construction & Facilities Management (CFM). In this capacity he leads a team that is responsible for support of all personnel with equipment, supplies and services to manage their projects and management of all CFM databases. He is also responsible for numerous contracts held by CFM for support of his office.

Mr. Hopkins started Government Service in 1973 after graduation and was with the Corps of Engineers for 7 years prior to joining the VA in 1980. Having risen through the Resident Engineer ranks and serving as a Senior Resident Engineer for numerous projects of increasing complexity and value throughout the VA system, Steve became a Project Manager in 2000 and in January 2006 moved into a Program Manager role in CFM Central Office. Steve just completed 33 years of Government service.

Born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont in 1950, Mr. Hopkins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Clarkson College of Technology (now Clarkson University). Mr. Hopkins is also a Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
