 Fort MacKenzie High School 1907
 

Formerly Fort MacKenzie established 1898 supposedly to protect against Indians. In reality the fort was to provide balance for Fort D.A. Russell in southern part of State. Horses raised at the fort were shipped to South Africa for British use in Boer War. Old Military buildings and parade ground are significant.
