Launched in the fall of 2009, the Green Routine Awards program recognizes VA employees who have contributed to a greener workplace by creating effective grassroots programs.  Nominees invest time outside of their daily duties to encourage their coworkers in green practices that make a difference in a VA facility’s environmental performance.  Past winners have promoted paper-saving processes, innovative recycling programs, reduced food waste, and biking to work.
