E-Prescribing Capability Coming Soon to the Meds by Mail Program

Electronic prescribing of medications has made significant gains in popularity over the last several years. As such, many providers have expressed frustration because the Meds by Mail program cannot accept prescriptions electronically. We have good news! The CHAMPVA Meds by Mail program has taken the first steps to make electronic prescribing available to participating providers nationwide. E-prescribing to the Meds by Mail Servicing Centers should be available in late Spring 2012. More detailed information will be provided as the “go live” date approaches.
