The
mission of our patient care line is to provide
comprehensive, coordinated, and appropriate
intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment
and aftercare for all enrolled patients
with mental health needs. Mental Health
Service is organized into generalist and
specialty teams to enable our veterans to
benefit from a broad spectrum of mental
health services that includes inpatient
and outpatient components. We strive, through
our emphasis on rehabilitation, to enable
each patient to achieve and maintain his
or her highest level of functioning. |
Suicide
Prevention Awareness
Suicide is the 11th most
frequent cause of death in the U.S.; someone
dies from suicide every 16 minutes. VA has
set aside March 1, 2007 as Suicide Prevention
Awareness Day. VA staff members who come
in contact with patients will receive training
