Primary Care services are provided over
a large geographic area in the Pacific Islands.
Honolulu is the major urban populated area
served. The remaining population is distributed
around a large geographic area: Hawaiian
Islands, Northern Mariana, and American
Samoa. Community Based Outpatient Clinics
(CBOCs) are located in Lihue, Kauai; Wailuku,
Maui; Kona, Hawaii; Hilo, Hawaii; and Agana,
Guam. |

Routine care
is available at each of the site on a daily
basis (Monday through Friday), from 7:30
a.m. to 4 p.m. After hours and weekend urgent
and emergent care is available through a
telephone care triage system on Oahu. The
number is 808-433-0852. Patients residing
on Oahu are directed to Tripler Army Medical
Center. Neighbor island patients are currently
advised to use their local Emergency Rooms
and Urgent Care facilities as appropriate.Specialty
clinics are provided predominantly at the
Honolulu Clinic, with some specialty care
available at the CBOCs. These are mostly
consultative in nature.
