The Spark M. Matsunaga VA Medical Center building has 3 floors. Two passenger elevators are located in the center atrium area and serve all floors. Patterson Road runs along the mountainside of the building. Ward Avenue runs along the northwest side of the building. The information desk is directly across from the main entrance.

Parking

Patient and visitor parking area is located on Patterson Road across from the medical center. For a map of the parking structure location, please see the facility map.

Security

The Spark M. Matsunaga VA Medical Center has a Police Service. The main atrium entry doors will be open weekdays between 7:30am and 4:00pm.

All patients and visitors must enter through the security checkpoint/metal detector entrance at the main atrium doors. For general police assistance, please dial 30597. In case of an emergency, dial 30897. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.

Because the VA Medical Center is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.

Smoking areas

This facility is a "No Smoking" building. Smoking is not allowed inside or near the building (including front entrance and courtyards). The designated smoking area is the smoking shelter under the Banyan tree (west of the building).

Food and Beverage

Our snack shop is located on the 1st floor, left of the main entry. Vending machines are located on the 3rd floor in room 3-B07.

Transportation

For your comfort and convenience, we offer VA Shuttle services between the Honolulu International Airport, the Kahili Bus Depot center and our medical facilities.
