All clinical trainees must sign the VA Rules of Behavior.
Question: What is the VA National Rules of Behavior?
Answer: The National Rules of Behavior contains responsibilities and expected behavior of all individuals (end users) with access to VA's information and information systems.
Question: Do I have to sign the document?
Answer:
Yes. All individuals who use or gain access to VA information systems must read, understand and agree by signature to adhere to the VA National Rules of Behavior, before they can be authorized access to VA information systems.
Question: Do the new (November, 2007) National Rules of Behavior substitute for the old Statement of Commitment and Understanding?
Answer: Yes -- You no longer need to have trainees sign the old Statements of Commitment and Understanding.
Question: Does an electronic signature on the National Rules of Behavior in either the VISTA system or in LMS satisfy the requirement to "sign" the National Rules of Behavior, or do you need an additional paper copy?
Answer: The electronic signature in either VISTA or LMS is sufficient. No additional paper copy is necessary.
