Patient Safety for Residents in Graduate Medical Education workshop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, May 19-21, 2008.
Attend one or both workshops: 1.5 days of Faculty Development workshop + 1.5 days of Patient Safety Conference

Here are the links to the official registration & travel documents for the workshop. The target audience for these faculty development (graduate medical education) workshops is anyone who teaches/trains/mentors/advises residents and medical students.

  • Who: Presented by VA National Center for Patient Safety
  • How: Attend and participate; no tuition or fees, ACCME accredited, 12 hours, category 1
  • Why: Because grounding patient safety in human factors engineering makes system change possible.

*The May workshop will be held in conjunction with a Patient Safety Conference. Both will be a day and a half in length: May 19th to noon on May 20th for the workshop, and May 20th at 1pm to May 21st 5pm for the conference. We're hoping that attendees of the May workshop will be enticed to stay for the conference. Conference presenters will be from the Patient Safety Centers of Inquiry and the new Patient Safety Fellowship.
