Setting Captioning Feature
Return to Videos
Windows Media Player allows you to turn Captioning on and off. However, the tool that allows you to do this is hidden. If you have changed the look, or "skin" of the interface on the Media Player using some of it's built-in options, you may need to reset that look back to the default configuration. If the following
instructions do not work with your player, use the Media Player's built in HELP
menu to find out how to turn on captioning.
In the default configuration, this is how you access the Captioning option:
- Place the cursor on the top section of the Media Player and RIGHT-CLICK your mouse.
- A menu will appear. Once you make a selection, another menu list will appear.
- Select: Play > Captions and Subtitles > English Captions.
- You may need to close the Media Player, then restart it before the Captioning is visible.
