| Summary: | The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, OIG provided crime awareness briefings to 81 employees. This review focused on nine operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following three activities: (1) coordination of care, (2) environment of care, and (3) mental health treatment continuity. The facility’s reported accomplishment was the “Not On My Watch” campaign to reduce risk of infection in the facility and improve infection prevention awareness among staff, patients, and visitors. OIG made recommendations for improvement in the following six activities: (1) colorectal cancer screening, (2) point-of-care testing, (3) nurse staffing, (4) QM, (5) polytrauma, and (6) follow-up on management of test results. |
