VA EA Open Management Meeting |
The
annual VA Enterprise Architecture Management
Meeting was a forum for discussing and reviewing
the management approaches, priorities and strategies
for continuous improvement of the EA and the
artifacts that define it. The purpose of
this meeting was to have an open, candid discussion
designed to engage the VA Lines of Business with
the Enterprise Architecture and to discuss how
business requirements become integrated into
IT solutions. Enterprise Architecture representatives
from within the VA as well as from industry participated
in the discussion.

The
2006 VA Enterprise Architecture (EA) Management
Review Meeting was a forum for VA EA stakeholders
and Industry Experts to engage in an open dialogue
about Enterprise Architecture (EA). Key issues
discussed included the strategic vision of the
EA, EA management priorities and approaches,
and key EA artifacts.
The principle EA artifacts presented included:
The VA Enterprise Architecture v.4.1 and the
Future Vision
The VA Data Management and Data Strategy Plan
The Plan for VA EA Policy and Governance
Stakeholders
and Industry Experts provided valuable feedback
for the further development and continuous
improvement of the VA Enterprise
Architecture vision and its artifacts. The
open dialogue was valuable to the development
of the EA strategy incorporated in Objective
E-3 of the 2006 -2011 VA Strategic Plan.
