email discussion list for Federal employees developing
overall policy and procedures for Section 508 of
the Rehabilitation Act. This list is intended to
help us coordinate our efforts and discuss opportunities
for improving our online service to employees with
disabilities. It is a forum for sharing information
and asking for help. Participation in this list is
limited to Federal employees and contractors, as
predecisional policy and planning issues might be
discussed. This list covers all aspects of Section
508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
One
must have and use an email address in the .GOV or
.MIL domain to participate.
How
do I join or re-subscribe to the list?
Send
email to LISTSERV@VAWW.LISTSERV.MED.VA.GOV.
Include the following command in the body of the
email:
join
section508d-L yourfirstname yourlastname

How
do I leave the list?
The
classic mistake of the inexperienced list participant
is to post a message to the list asking to be removed
or have one's setting changed. Instead, you may
leave the list at any time by sending a message
to LISTSERV@VAWW.LISTSERV.MED.VA.GOV.

How
do I send messages to the list?
Once
you have joined the list, just send mail to section508d-l@VAWW.LISTSERV.MED.VA.GOV. to
send a message to all the people currently subscribed
to the list.
Where
are the list archives?
If
you are on VA's Intranet, you may see the archives
at http://vaww.listserv.med.va.gov/archives/section508d-l.html
What
if the volume of messages is to great?
Send
a message to LISTSERV@VAWW.LISTSERV.MED.VA.GOV.
This will give you one message a day with all of
the day's postings.If you are on VA's intranet
you can change your subscription to Digest mode
by using the form at:
http://vaww.listserv.med.va.gov/cgi-bin/wa.exe?SUBED1=section508d-l
What
if my email address changes?
Subscribers
will be automatically deleted from the list when
delivery errors have been reported for a period
of 4 days or more, or when 100 delivery errors
have been received, whichever occurs first. Monitoring
will cease after 5 days without any reported error.
It is your responsibility to re-subscribe via
email using your new email address.
