This email discussion list for Federal employees, contractors, academics and private individuals interested in promoting general communication raising awareness, issues and questions regarding Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. This list is intended to help get a larger perspective of Section 508 issues other than that of the Section 508 Advisory Committee. During this we hope to coordinate our efforts with others in helping find solutions in the education and training of Section 508. It is a forum for sharing information and asking for help. This Listserv is archived to help maintain postings to this list. There are no domain name limits for participants in this list. This list covers all aspects of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

How do I join or re-subscribe to the list?

Send email to LISTSERV@VAWW.LISTSERV.MED.VA.GOV. Include the following command in the body of the email:

     join Section508Info-L your first name and last name

How do I leave the list? The classic mistake of the inexperienced list participant is to post a message to the list asking to be removed or have one's setting changed. Instead, you may leave the list at any time by sending a message to LISTSERV@VAWW.LISTSERV.MED.VA.GOV.How do I send messages to the list? Once you have joined the list, just send mail to section508Info-L@WWW.LISTSERV.VA.GOV. to send a message to all the people currently subscribed to the list. What if my email address changes?

Subscribers will be automatically deleted from the list when delivery errors have been reported for a period of 4 days or more, or when 100 delivery errors have been received, whichever occurs first. Monitoring will cease after 5 days without any reported error. It is your responsibility to re-subscribe via email using your new email address.
