Onward to Buffalo! - Make plans now to be part of the 27th National Veterans Golden Age Games in Buffalo, NY, May 30 - June 4, 2013. (6/11/2012)

Farewell St. Louis - 787 Veterans age 55 and older, from 40 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands came to St. Louis, “the Gateway to the West” to compete in the 26th National Veterans Golden Age Games. (6/11/2012)

Model Athlete Racks ‘Em Up at Nine-Ball - When Jack Wiseman lost his left arm at the age of 18 from gunshot wounds in Vietnam, that didn’t stop him from doing everything he wanted to do in life. A true athlete and Army Veteran from Lutz, Fla., who served in the 101st Airborne and 82nd Airborne Division, Wiseman has a number of prosthetic devices to assist him in each of the sports he participates in. Having a Blast at Trap Shoot - “My name is Dewayne, we’re here at Wincester Shooting Range, and we are literally going to have a blast!” Trapshooting is the newest Exhibition Game at the Golden Age Games. It is proving to be a popular addition. (6/5/2012)

Veterans Take a Shot at Bullet Ball - Growing up in a home with a disabled mother, two St. Louis bothers were taught the importance of playing games and creating different activities that allowed her inclusion. The idea for a “new” game – BulletBall – originated several years ago, but Marc and Charles Griffin began marketing the tabletop game about five years ago. (6/5/2012)

For Love of the Games - The National Veterans Golden Age Games are all about camaraderie, competition and medals. Hundreds of veterans traveling from across the country care about little else than winning their events and taking home the gold. (6/5/2012)

NVGAG a Family Affair - Father and daughter Pete and Lori Falzarano of Stirling, N.J., have a lot in common … a strong family resemblance, pitching the first no-hitter at Watchung Hills High School (Pete in baseball; Lori in softball) and coaching each other in athletic competitions. (6/3/2012)

Bowling - Laymond Sanders of Norris City, Ill. joined the U.S. military in 1943. “I joined the Navy. That’s why the war didn’t last any longer than it did,” he says. (6/2/2012)

The VA showed me love - Drafted at the tender age of 18, Army Veteran, Gordon Wallace, left his native home in Hawaii in 1970 to serve his country in Vietnam. As one of 16 children, Wallace left school after the seventh grade to work in the family business. (5/28/2011)
