Kids Day
When: August 5, 2011 The 11th annual Kids Day event will take place Friday, August 5, as part of the 31st National Veterans Wheelchair Games. Kids Day offers children with physical disabilities from the local Pittsburgh area an opportunity to interact with the many athletes competing in the Games. Under the guidance of these experienced athlete mentors, the children will enjoy learning about and participating in adaptive sports activities. Kids Day promotes a fun and active everyday lifestyle to children with disabilities while engendering important life skills such as teamwork and determination. Veteran athlete mentors will present the children with their own medal for participating in this year’s Kids Day event. Kids Day is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required to participate. Register Today!
