Veterans Day Regional Site Application

If you are interested in having your community observance recognized as a 2014 Veterans Day Regional Site, please submit a Veterans Day Regional Site Application.

Instructions for submitting the application are included on the application form. Please include supporting evidence, including images, that demonstrates the scope of your event.

Application deadline for 2014 is extended to 1 July, 2014. The Veterans Day National Committee reviews each application and will notify applicants of its decision in August. The committee uses the following criteria to determine whether a Veterans Day observance warrants Regional Site status.

  1. Is the event dedicated solely to honoring the men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces?
  2. Is the event supported by a veterans service organization(s)?
  3. Is the event supported by the city, county, town or municipal authorities?
  4. Does the event incorporate schools, universities, and other community organizations?
