Submitting Documents in English Fact Sheet
During the verification process, documents must be submitted in English.
The Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) only accepts documents that are in English and does not provide any translations for documents that are not in English.
According to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Federal agencies are allowed to require submissions in English. The Veterans First Contracting program is a Department of Veterans Affairs procurement program that also relies on this requirement. This policy appears under the Frequently Asked Questions on our Web site and was published in December 2013.
If the original documents were issued in another language, CVE requires the submission of both the original and the translated versions. CVE is not requiring applicants to refile their tax returns and business documents, but only that translated copies are provided with the originals.
