Verification Assistance Counselor Training

The VA continues to offer its “Understanding The CVE Verification Process” training series, in an effort to certify Verification Counselors all over the United States.  The course presents an integrated approach to learning about CVE internal processes, verification policy and regulation, and how to navigate through the Veterans First Program application process.  Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Counselors and Veteran Partner Organizations interested in becoming VA certified to counsel Veterans through the verification process may send an email to: to receive updates on the training schedule and availability.  Attendance to training is mandatory, along with completion of the pre- and post course assessments.  Certification will be issued once a counselor has demonstrated comprehensive understanding by passing the final knowledge assessment.  Training is available quarterly for fiscal year 2014.
