The Joint Commission standards deal with
organizational quality of care issues and the safety
of the environment in which care is provided. Any
individual with a concern about patient/resident
care and safety in the hospital should contact the
hospital management. If the hospital management has
not addressed or resolved the concern, he or she may
contact the Joint Commission at any time. Contacts
