Barnes, RN is a staff nurse on 3 South, a busy 40-bed Nursing Home Care
Unit delivering care to patients with multi-system problems.
Ms. Barnes demonstrates consistent critical thinking resulting
in sound clinical judgment. Her
astute observations frequently detect slight mental status changes and
she is correct in attributing these changes to decreased oxygen levels.
Ms. Barnes cares for the whole person - body, mind and spirit, whether it is praying
with a patient in need or providing the small luxury of a bubble bath for a
severely debilitated veteran with multiple sclerosis.
Carole is a model of caring, and she exemplifies the statement, “Love
is patient. Love is kind.”
